Gabe Hornberger and Josh Washington scored in overtime and Scranton Prep missed a basket at the buzzer as Executive Education Academy held on for a 54-53 win Tuesday night in a nonleague boys basketball game at the Xavier Center.
Rylan Muniz led Executive Education with 16 points that included four 3-pointers. Hornberger added 15 points for the winners who built a 44-35 lead after three quarters.
Scranton Prep battled back as Brycen Martin hit a pair of 3-pointers and had eight points in the fourth quarter. Ambrose Rossi added three points in the fourth as the Cavaliers tied the game at 50-50.
James Pettinato, who led Scranton Prep with 13 points, had a 3-pointer in overtime, but it wasn't enough for Scranton Prep. Martin finsihed with 10 points.
