Eli Yusavage led three players in double figures with 16 points as No. 3 Valley View outlasted No. 7 Scranton in overtime, 61-58, on Friday in a Lackawanna League Division I boys basketball matchup.
A.J. Kucharski added 15 points and seven rebounds, LV Pegula had 12 points and Kyle Rupp eight rebounds for the Cougars, who rallied in the fourth quarter from a five-point deficit.
Pegula hit a 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer to force overtime. In the extra session, Kucharski scored four points and Connor Hilling sank two free throws with 31 seconds left to give Valley View a three-point lead. Scranton missed a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Oliver Almonte had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds for Scranton. Rykeese Cenord chipped in 12 points.
