Michael Rickert scored 15 of his game-high 35 points in the fourth quarter as Riverside rallied for a 73-69 season-opening win over Wyoming Valley West in a nonleague boys basketball game Friday.
Brandon Reed scored 20 of his 26 points in the second half for the Vikings, who erased a 14-point halftime deficit. Reed also shot 9 of 10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as Riverside outscored the Spartans, 28-15.
Christian Michak and Joey Lombardo each scored 13 points for Wyoming Valley West.
